 The sinus headache is caused by a sinus infection or sinusitis. Since there are several sinus cavities and locations, pain from a sinus headache may be in all or just a few locations. Lie back and put a warm washcloth on your forehead, eyes and cheeks several times a day. Take aspirin, acetaminophen or ibuprofen also after making sure there will be no drug interaction with your sinus infection prescription. Use a hot steam vaporizer in your bedroom or lie down in the bathroom with the shower running on hot water. You can lie back in the tub with the shower running but I wouldn't recommend it as the pressure from the water hitting your face would cause the pain to be much worse.
